FRED puts out 45 lumens in a flood beam via three Ultrabright LEDs. The fourth LED, a red Ultrabright, helps you keep a low profile and preserve your night adjusted vision. The FRED headlamp is stable with its asymmetrical single arm bracket; the large power button is easy to find even while wearing gloves. FRED runs for up to 145 hours in white mode and 180 hours in red mode on three AAA batteries.

The Vizz is feature-loaded with three distinct beam profiles easily accessed via a simple press, hold, or double press of the button. One Maxbright LED (double press) creates a powerful 150 lumen spot beam for long-throw illumination, a pair of white Ultrabright LEDs (hold) deliver a dimmable flood beam, and two red Ultrabright LEDs (press) handle close-range lighting while preserving night adjusted vision. As with all of PTEC Professional Series headlamps, the Vizz is waterproof (IPX7), equipped with regulated circuitry, and lithium battery compatible.

Central New Jersey Grotto graciously hosted Princeton Tec on trips into some of their favorite local caves. They taught us to safely make our way through this new (to some of us) world. We brought more lights than they ever have, for a totally different perspective on caves they discovered years ago and explored many times since. The Central New Jersey Grotto (CNJG) is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 for the purpose of advancing the study, conservation, exploration and knowledge of caves. CNJG is a local chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS).
