    from Oxfam Stories Added 312 0 0

Description: Women, particularly from poor communities, in India are being left with crippling debts and health problems after being made to have unnecessary hysterectomies and Caesarean births. These are procedures that come with huge price tags and high medical risks. In one rural district of Rajasthan, thousands of women have been deliberately misled into believing they need hysterectomies; women from the most discriminated low castes and poor economic backgrounds are being targeted because access to free government healthcare is very limited and illiteracy rates are high.

This video was produced in the spring of 2010 to announce a new holistic transportation initiative for central Indiana. We started from the very beginning - naming the initiative and building the brand from scratch. The whole program included public service announcements on local TV stations, billboards, transit advertising (inside and outside the bus cars) and brochures. The campaign culminated in a press conference attended by officials and covered extensively by local media. All of the materials encouraged citizens to visit a robust web site hosting this video, research an interactive map and a post their comments through a custom-designed survey tool.
