1. Rail Access

RAIL ACCESS – Easing Access for All ‘Rail Access’ is a re-design of the train end carriage interior layout. This improves the travel experience of people with disabilities that will, in turn, improve the experience for all. Unique space saving seats provide additional floor space for a high capacity of passengers - giving more space for the 'disabled zone'. The inclusive design of the unique 'bar styled seating' can also be enjoyed by wheelchair users. With aid of the automated underfloor lift, wheelchair users gain independence and quick access onto trains, without the need of waiting around for assistance. // Major University Project // Nottingham Trent University BA (Hons) Product Design by Esther Loke N0369809
