This video shows a novel mixed-reality student desk, that enables people in different geographical locations to work together making technology based gadgets (something that to-date was not possible with conventional online systems).. A notable feature of this work is that product concept originated from a science-fiction prototype, "Tales From A Pad" (available from http://victor.callaghan.info/publications/2010_CS10(TalesFromAPod).pdf), that provided a future vision of education. Science Fiction Prototyping (SFP) is a s methodology proposed by Intel's Brian David Johnson for product innovation. You can learn more about this product innovation method by visiting www.creative-science.org. Finally, it needs to be acknowledged that the work was conducted at the University of Essex by Anasol Pena-Rios as part of a PhD supervised by Prof Vic Callaghan and Dr Michael Gardner.

The Pong-a-Tron was created to demonstrate the power and flexibility of the Noam messaging platform, which allows designers to create complex interactive products by easily networking hardware and software elements together. In the spirit of a Rube Goldberg Machine, the Pong-a-Tron uses as many technologies as possible to highlight the ease in which Noam can facilitate a seamless conversation between disparate technologies. Hey everyone! I wanted a better way to demonstrate typing in my prototypes so I created a simple keyboard simulator in Framer. It's super easy to use, just copy the code into your project and run: type(yourLayer,'string you want typed out') Right now its only the default iPhone 6 keyboard but you could easily tweak this code for other devices. For non-letters I'm just hiding the key to keep things simple. Enjoy! Download the project here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rvtz46wxibinifl/keyboard.framer.zip?dl=0
