Our first bright sunny day out at Durlston castle, A chilly but bright February day out at Durlston castle, the first time we had ventured out since the start of the cold dark winter weather, slight signs of an improved climate are beginning to show with the evenings gradually drawing out each day, although it will be a little longer before the mornings are bright & I can arise in the daylight. Short promo video for The Kingdom of Paul Nash. Premiered at Bournemouth Arts Festival 2013 and performed again at The Russet Cafe in London of the same year, The Kingdom of Paul Nash is a live performance from The Cabinet of Living Cinema featuring songs, sound art, documentary footage of the group's sea-cave voyage, a graphic novel and live video art. Heavily inspired by the quarries, sea cliffs and downs of Purbeck in Dorset, surrealist painter Nash combined found objects with the already surreal landscapes of quarried stone and windswept coastlines. I worked with The Cabinet of Living Cinema to develop the fourth part of the show, "Water-Burial of the Object Personages". I edited a montage of sea caves, rock pools and crashing waves that are soundtracked live with mixed field recordings from sound artist Tom Daniel-Moon and effects by the Cabinet's resident foley artist Robert Parkinson. After the sound artists psychometrically release the stored aural memories of a series of objets trouvé from sea caves, I lay each piece of rock, litter and other detritus to rest in water, projected through a live feed from a camera. "I worship these old felllows. I know they are people." - Paul Nash Performing as The Cabinet of Living Cinema Kieron Maguire: Vocals, guitar, viola Robert Parkinson: Dulcimer, found object foley Tim Karp: Vocals, guitar, banjo Camilo Tirado: Percussion Francesca Ter-Berg: Cello Tom Brown: Water burials Tom Daniel-Moon: Analogue loops and field recordings Multimedia credits Photography: Ellie Maguire Graphic novel animation: Andrei Sopon Graphic novel script: Kieron Maguire Video editing: Katie Steed and Tom Brown Documentary video (performance): Emily Bailey Devised by Kieron Maguire

The sun was hiding and rain seemed not to far away. Then I met a chap called Steve who along with his camera shy brother, had a passion for all things mechanical . The camera was quickly powered up and with only a small amount of arm twisting Steve did a great piece to camera.
