The final track on The Fool EP and its rarely seen music video, starring Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Steve Vai. Some time in 1995, uni student Jeremy Buckle woke up upside down and noticed the ground beneath him was moving. At first he thought he was flying across the Pyrmont Bridge, but eventually realised he was being carried by his two drunken friends Paul and John. They carried him all the way to Town Hall and put him on the Night Ride bus home. No one ever saw Jeremy again. Until the next week. He was fine. Paul wrote "Crawling My Way Back Home" soon after. Note Dave's twinkly twilight guitar - it's the exact sound Paul hears just before he passes out. Dinesh's bass is a sleepy snake andHilton played drums and the world's largest conga all at once. Paul's guitar solo even has a second wind before passing out. But when it came time to record the vocals, Paul choked. Then he remembered a trick that Thom Yorke had told him: 'Turn up the mic really loud and whisper the words'. So we did. Now the chorus sounds like a ghost calling through the walls.
