Miami Ad School Student Project: A Simple Solution to help New York’s Empty Libraries (The creators of this idea are students who have no affiliation with the New York Public Library or any public library. This is purely speculative work that was developed as part of a class assignment.) Now that the internet is available almost anywhere, people are able to do “instant research” to learn about anything on their smartphones. The New York Public Library wants to remind New Yorkers that they are still a valuable resource, and a free service. NYPL wants to take your usual subway ads and make them into something fun and entertaining. They want to give New Yorkers something productive to do on the subway instead of their everyday people watching. New Yorkers will be given a free digital book sample to read on their way to work. Once finished they will be informed of the closest libraries so they could finish their story. Underground Library is a fictional student campaign, thought up by Max Pilwat, Keri Tan and Ferdi Rodriguez, three Miami Ad School students. This video explains how the campaign would work if it were adopted by the client. Agency: Miami Ad School Art Directors: Keri Tan & Max Pilwat Copywriter: Ferdi Rodriguez

The story follows the lives of a wild spectrum of characters, narrated by a young writer working in a bar in New York’s East Village. Barstool Prophets chronicles this iconic neighborhood over a period of 20 years, from its seedy early 1990s to its recent gentrification into a Manhattan hot spot. From the love-addled bartender to the suicidal doorman to the junkies in Tompkins Square Park, all are family, with the accompanying joys and dysfunctions. by Ethan H. Minsker

A short documentation of my parkour, filmed through a single days solo training in Reading, late December '07. I've included the mistakes (1:23, 1:40, 2:25); one point I really wanted to demonstrate is how well parkour conditions oneself to deal with faults and problems in our movement - whether this be through repetition and practice to improve upon something, or the overall level of competence we gain so as to be able to control our movement even if something does go wrong. I like to think it conditions us to deal with problems outside of parkour in a similar way too. I see this as somewhat of a reference for what the average traceurs solo training might look like, though obviously I'll only ever experience my own.
