Here’s how the conversation usually goes: So I was pretty sure I didn’t want a wedding film, and then I took a the trailers on your site and I was totally amazed. I had no idea wedding films could look like movies. The first few times we heard it, it was a compliment. Great, we thought, we’re doing something a little better than other companies out there. But the truth is, there are loads of talented live event filmmakers out there. In Boston alone there are three or four whose work we love, never mind the rest of the country. And we got to be a little tired of having that conversation. Because the problem isn’t that there aren’t good wedding filmmakers, the problem is that today’s brides and grooms aren’t exposed to their work. Which makes sense, because when you look at any of the big wedding blogs, all you see is photography, with maybe a tiny mention right at the bottom of the post for the filmmaker, but no embedded trailer. So today we’re giving love24fps a proper launch with an educational piece called A wedding film: the best investment you’ll make. We asked a few of our former couples to come and be interviewed and talk – in strictly vendor agnostic terms – about the value of a wedding film and what it meant to them now that their wedding was behind them. We hoped that they’d say nice things about how important their wedding film was, but nothing could have prepared us for the strength of their comments. It’s real married couples, who have been through the wedding planning process and come out the other side, and who learned some lessons along the way. Their words: a wedding film is the best investment you’ll make in your wedding.
