      • D.I.Wireless FEST OR BUST Tour - EPISODE 4

        13:08

        from D.I.Wireless Added 762 1 2

WEBSITE - http://www.diwireless.com.au FACEBOOK - http://www.facebook.com/diwireless TWITTER - http://www.twitter.com/diwireless EPISODE 4 follows the tour into North Carolina from Durham to Richmond then across to Atlanta, Georgia and features a stack of interviews with Red Collar, Nothington, The Wild, Death to False Hope Records, and the Southbound and Down fest organisers. In October 2011, the makers of D.I.Wireless podcast embarked on a month-long road trip down the east coast of the United States to attend the 10th anniversary of THE FEST in Gainesville, Florida. Along the way they met a number of bands who make the same pilgrimage year after year to one of the biggest punk rock parties ever forgotten. The series captures thoughts about hometown scenes as well as what makes THE FEST so unique - told by those who play the theatres, bars and cafes, but are also in the thick of the debauchery just as much as the thousands of people from around the world who swarm to Gainesville every year. All 6 episodes will debut on http://www.thefestfl.com as well as on http://www.diwireless.com.au with a new episode online every 2 weeks. • D.I.Wireless FEST OR BUST Tour - FINAL EPISODE

WEBSITE - diwireless.com.au FACEBOOK - facebook.com/diwireless TWITTER - twitter.com/diwireless After 27 days, 2976 kilometers, and 21 interviews here we are at EPISODE 6 and the finale of the FEST OR BUST Tour. If you have followed the series you have watched the makers of D.I.Wireless Podcast wind their way from Boston down the East Coast of the US to Gainesville and FEST 10. It is the biggest punk rock party we probably would have forgotten without a camera - and one of the best lineups we had ever seen assembled. This episode is purely a summary of what we experienced and all the amazing performances witnessed from stages and cafes to laser tag arenas and parking lots. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary from any other FEST experience. But while editing this episode I couldn't stop myself from watching the whole thing over an over. Maybe it was because so much of it was a blur. But more likely it was coming to terms with exactly how much we saw and how much fun was had. The footage of the official FEST 10 after party alone makes watching this episode worth it. Trust me. While the series has been a blessing and a curse over the past 8 months, the whole experience of the FEST OR BUST Tour was awesome. We met some incredible people we now call friends, learnt heaps, saw new parts of the world and discovered new music. FINAL EPISODE PHOTO CREDITS: Max Schwartz, Shane Hansen, Nicole Kibert, Genna Howard. Other thanks: Cameraperson, Tony, PJ, Sarah, Lindsay and all the FEST crew, all the awesome people who took part in the series or helped out in any way, Vanessa @ Mutiny PR, Chuck @ Beartrap PR, Eddie @ Raybee PR, Arielle @ Save Your Generation, Lisa @ Kind Of Like Records, Mackenzie @ National Underground, K8, Toddy @ South Coast Tattoo, Ryan @ Broken Bones Records.

On November 14, 2012 JD was found on the side of the road and taken to the Houston city pound to be euthanized. A plea was sent out to area rescues and that's when JD began his journey. He was emaciated, dehydrated and covered in fleas and mange. He had a gaping wound on his front leg, severe heartworms, 2 dislocated hips, and a fractured spine and pelvis. His body was broken but his spirit was strong...the heart of a lion! After 11 days in ICU, he was transported to The Pawza where he was fostered by St. Francis' Angels. Over the next 8 months he fought to get better and stronger. He endured two hip surgeries and 60 days of heartworm treatment. Today he is a healthy 60 lbs, so handsome and ready to find his forever home!
