There's nothing like the real deal, and 83-year-old bluesman Leo "Bud" Welch is just that. Born in 1932, Welch grew up in Mississippi and is one of the oldest and last bluesman remaining from that era. One of Leo's wishes is to help keep the tradition of blues alive in a new generation of children. To do so, he hopes to continue to travel to schools throughout the South to perform, answer questions, and expose a new generation to the blues. We've started a GoFundMe page to help cover the cost of travel to and from the schools to keep Leo going and to hopefully inspire the next great Blues musician. I decided to start this project after missing out on the chance to tell the story of a man from my hometown who dedicated his life to helping others. That man's name was Frank Dymock. For years, Frank opened his garage to the public and sharpened skates free of charge. He wouldn't accept a dime. He was an icon in the place where I grew up, and I always wanted to tell his story while he was still here. Regretfully, I let time pass, and Frank passed away before I had the chance to tell his story. This project is dedicated to him and to countless others who live selflessly and truly leave a legacy, forever impacting the lives of the people lucky enough to cross their paths. This project is 100 per cent a passion project. It's self funded and something I wanted to do to pay it forward to people like Frank. whileimheretheproject.com

Vittorio Storaro - the man who uses color shades as a poet uses words. In every his film the choice of a specific color is rigidly connected with the "ideology" of history, and the color does not simply duplicate the scene information, but creates additional emotional subtext. Storaro said that the meaning of colors is universal, even inspite of cultural differences - if the audience does not understand the values, it still feels it.

Some rough footage of my brand new Sony CLM-V55 monitor attached to my Panasonic GH2. I've heard of the issue with the Sony not being able to accurately reproduce reds, but I will reserve my judgement until I can hook up the CLM-V55 to another HDMI source. I don't know if the GH2's HDMI output is at fault, or if it's the V55 at this time. But based on my observations, hooking up the V55 to my GH2 produces reds that look orange.
