1. Joann McCann - An Unplanned Birthday Party with friends.

Today I had this urge to take the Doves down to the Sun River cemetery. I couldn't explain why I felt the need to go there and release the Doves, but I followed 'my gut'. My plan had been to let them go (release) off the front porch, but a voice kept sending me to our closest cemetery. There I noticed a lady I had never met, tending to a few stone markers. I asked if she was there tending to loved ones, and she said yes. She told me today was her husband's birthday and they had plans that wouldn't take place (now). She pointed out a dear friend, and (I believe) a cousin, all close together. I offered her my Doves to enjoy as I was there for training just by chance - IF It was something she'd like. She was really taken back. It's always good to listen and follow through on those little voices... Happy Birthday to Dell - Joann McCann. PS Joann and I placed feathers from the Doves on the sites of her loved ones, and she took one home as a keepsake.

For 63 days, the Poles fought through the streets of Warsaw, waiting for Soviet support that never arrived. This is a short video, filmed at the Uprising Monument, where Poles across the country pause in remembrance for one minute.

On the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the murder of twenty Jewish children at an abandoned school building called Bullenhuser Damm, young people from five European countries met in Hamburg from April 16-20, 2015. They came from Radom (Poland), Eindhoven (The Netherlands), Paris (France), Messina (Italy) and Hamburg (Germany). For this project, the young people did research on the Bullenhuser Damm children in their own countries, went to the archives and memorials and did interviews on the subject of remembrance. They presented the results of their research in Hamburg through the posters and films they made. During their stay in Hamburg they attended workshops: they shared their thoughts on the future of remembrance, personally met the children’s relatives and participated in the 70th anniversary commemorative ceremony. One workshop produced this film. ----------------- Aus Anlass des 70. Jahrestages der Ermordung von 20 jüdischen Kindern am Bullenhuser Damm trafen sich vom 16. bis 20. Joshua had a very simple idea for how they could pass their faith and heritage to future generations. Israel used holy places to retell their stories. Moses knew another way that the Israelites could tell their stories. They used holidays to retell their history to their children. This weekend we celebrate courage, faith, loyalty, and commitment. Let's tell our stories to future generations.

What Jesus did for us should never be forgotten. We should constantly be in a state of remembrance for His gift of grace. God sent His only Son to take our place, bare our penalty and die our death. This is mercy. This is love. This is communion.

Video clips from the Bryans Road Soccer Association annual Memorial Cup 2015. Our tournament is in memory of two coaches Michelle Ballengee and Walter Rodriguez. Michelle, a 2003 graduate of Lackey High school, was a former youth player, referee, and a beloved coach of the organization when she was tragically killed in a car accident in 2009. Walter, also coached in our organization for a number of years, and was a father of three young children when he was killed in an unfortunate construction accident in 2013. This year we added the campaign "Luca Knows Heart" to our Memorial event. Luca DeLaGarza, the infant son of AJ and Megan DeLaGarza, was born late this past summer with the rare abnormality, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He survived only a few days after a courageous fight. The campaign "Luca Knows Heart" was formed by his parents to bring this condition to awareness. AJ, a 2005 graduate of Lackey High School, started playing soccer for our association when he was 5 and now plays professionally with the LA Galaxy. The DeLaGarza family is still involved in Bryans Road Soccer as volunteer coaches and youth players.
