It's vacation time, and Dad is laser-focused on getting to the family's destination. But he's not ready for how fast time can move, and the choices he makes along the way lead to nothing but regret. Can he find a way to make amends? ======= I owe a huge debt of thanks to the fantastic cast who braved the terrors of aging makeup and horribly early mornings. And the long wait between the completion of principle photography and the final edit. This film was six years in the making. Started shooting in 2009, before the whole DSLR revolution, and ended up with final editing in FCPX. This was shot on a Canon HF100, which has a tiny sensor, a painfully slow lens, and is incapable of locking exposure or focus during a shot...in short, it was a challenge. A word of advice to anyone considering writing a first short film: keep it simple! Meaning don't write a roadtrip that requires aging makeup. You've been warned. :)

The War of the financial markets seems to be made only of numbers, pixels and television ads. It looks like a war without casualties, but creates every day, in every moment, the real damage. Collateral Damage?

This is one of my first attempts at making a stop motion animation of one of my dolls. I set the camera up to automatically take shots, so some parts are blurry. I made the doll with the hat out of clay and the other is a vintage doll named Tressy (I have 3!). Her face has been repainted by the original owner.
