Responsibility is really everyone's duty! Take charge of your life and quit blaming everyone else. What is it? ILT. Invest, Learn, and Teach! Sometimes we get caught up in the first two, Investing and learning. If you're like me, I've got a lot of Learning to do yet! However, Teaching is very important, too! Teaching can be a big help in the Learning process! Think about it, if there weren't any teacher, Learning would be a long, slow process! So, do all three (3) on a regular basis. Not only will you grow in the process, by being responsible and Teaching others we can all grow together. You never know whose life you may change in the process!

Australians closely followed the moves toward democratisation in North Africa and the Middle East. These events have once again tested the international community’s capacity to balance national sovereignty with the preservation of human rights, and in particular its responsibility to protect populations from grave violations of these rights. This 2011 panel of experts explores the consequences of regime change in Tunisia and Egypt, and uprising in Libya and Bahrain, for international relations. How effective has the UN been in responding to this unrest given its responsibility? What are the consequences of the UN-sanctioned ‘no-fly-zone’ in Libya, enforced by NATO and enacted under the principle of a ‘Responsibility to Protect’? What impact will these actions have for the international community’s approach to internal conflict and upholding human rights in future? In what ways has the US-led intervention in Iraq shaped the US response to the Libyan crisis? What role, if any, should Australia Play in upholding the principle of ‘Responsibility to Protect’? Join the expert panellists: Professorial Fellow the Hon Gareth Evans AO QC Professorial Fellow, University of Melbourne Professor Hilary Charlesworth AM Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow Director, Centre for International Governance and Justice, the Australian National University. Mr Daniel Flitton Diplomatic Editor, The Age. Dr Sally Totman Senior Lecturer in Middle East Studies, Deakin University.
