The Retreat Center has a total of 51 rooms for overnight guests. Each room typically has two twin beds, a sink and a desk, (two rooms have three twin beds). European-style restrooms in the hallways have private showers and toilets. Our 56 acres of property include beautiful gardens and walkways. The Stations of the Cross, along the back of the property, provide a perfect backdrop for meditative walks and prayer. The swimming pool is available at no charge to Retreat Center guests (safety restrictions apply). For prayer and meditation, the Historic Mission Church is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests also have access to the Retreat Center Chapel; and Mass is celebrated Mon.-Sat., 7:30 a.m., at the Parish Chapel, east of the Mission. Spiritual direction is available by appointment. Founded on the ethos that love can conquer all, Love Machine Films thrives when the lens is on the soul of the people. We are on the front lines in the fight to save humanity. Breast cancer, children with diabetes, the malaria epidemic of south-east Asia, or the suicides of teenagers, we are showing these plights successfully through the poetic medium of film, tv, music and photo. Love Machine Films has the client roster and years to back our major commercial acclaim both here in the U.S and internationally. Again our ethos is simple: Love can conquer all.

On Jan. 5, 2013 at the Won Dharma Center We all have the seeds of love, kindness and compassion in our minds. It refers to the infinite intrinsic beauty and goodness of our Buddha nature. However, due to excessive competition, ego and selfishness, anger and hatred, greed, and delusion, our loving-kindness and compassion are getting weaker. And despite of ample material goods and services with new technology, we are experiencing more unhappy people in the world. We need wisdom and courage to help us recover and cultivate our loving-kindness and compassion. For this to happen, we need to stop our excessively greedy mind and live in harmony with our Buddha nature. www.wondharmacenter.org

On Dec. 15, 2012 at the Won Dharma Center Whatever we put out in the universe is what comes back to us. Things do not just appear out of nothing. What goes around comes aroung. It is science. It is physics. You are the architect of your own life. Nobody else can create suffering for you except you, yourself. Nobody else can experience Nirvana for you, except you, yourself. You make progress or regress through the way you use your own and body. Your present life is your own creation in the past through your own thoughts, words and actions. In Won Buddhist philosophy, you choose to be the way you are. www.wondharmacenter.org

On Dec. 8, 2012 at the Won Dharma Center According to the teachings of the Buddha, life is comparable to a river. It is a progressive moment, a successive series of difference moments. Everything is subject to change and alternation. Our human existence is a continuous becoming. Aware of impermanence, we become positive, caring, loving and wise. Impermanence is an instrument for our liberation. Because of impermanence, liberation is possible. Because of impermanence, enlightenment is possible. www.wondharmacenter.org

                      17:35

from Won Dharma Meditation & Retreat Added

On Nov. 24, 2012 at the Won Dharma Center The spirit of thankfulness for blessings is slowly disappearing. There are many who are frustrated with life because they never seem to be able to get the things they want even though we become more comfortable and productive than ever before. How can we lead our life for a blessed future? According to the Won Buddhist teaching, for the life of gratitude, it is suggested that one should be aware of, and feel deeply, the way in which one is indebted to the Four Fold Grace of Heaven and Earth, Parents, Brethren, and Laws; when following the way of being indebted, one is to return these Graces. Even if one is confronted with a situation that is not of our own making and we feel resentment. www.wondharmacenter.org
