While with Mekanism, SF along with a fairly large team, we created multiple Charles Schwab spots that were broadcasted nationally. These commercials resembled the same process created by Richard Linklater, director of Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly. The spots were shot as live action, then using a number of programs we planar tracked the various shapes of light and dark colors which were then animated as they moved down the timeline. to see a brief behind the scenes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRZbtSZ456Q&feature=related
