I am loving Ron Peno new solo outfit, RSVP. Here they are playing at Charles Jenkins' Winter Ball 2010 at the Corner Hotel in Richmond. I don't know the name of the song BUT I have seen him perform it twice now and it is the standout song of his new set of tunes. He is such a dynamic performer. :)

Music from the Brighton-based rock band Dominator Virus, combined with Super 8 film by Peter Poole. A troubadour is a travelling medieval poet, so this song has been combined with images that evoke the past. A sense of narrative is created through the intercutting of conflict and calm: warriors fight ancient battles, while the eternal presence of Stonehenge bears witness. The images were taken at Newhaven Fort in the 1980s, during a performance by the Guild of Warriors, and at Stonehenge in 1991. Careful editing has excluded most modern features! At the end, the warriors charge the camera and are caught in a poignant freeze frame: this mixes to Stonehenge, where such battles are remembered in eternity.
