Longs & Hard is a story of two childhood friends attempts to reach the summit of a mountain five different times over a decade. In 1998 Buck Goodbrand & Franklin McPherson of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, made their first attempt to climb Longs Peak (elevation - 14,259) , located in Rocky Mountain National Park in Northern Colorado, USA. That first attempt was unsuccessful. Three more attempts were made in the following years and each time there efforts did not get them to the top of the mountain. In 2009 they returned for their fifth attempt to reach the summit. This is a story of their efforts, struggles and lessons learned in their attempts to climb Longs Peak.
