          This project serves as a self portrait, or at least an a single aspect of myself. I ran cross country and track for 6 years during high school and college and completed 2 marathons. There comes a point where running is not just an activity you do to stay in shape but part of who you are. I have found running circles to be tight knit communities that often have nothing more in common than the love of running. When creating this video I was intrigued with the concept of creating paradoxical scenes by occupying multiple spaces in the same time. As an avid cross country runner I am not a fan of treadmills vastly preferring the spacious outdoors and fresh air of trails. This is another reason I wanted to create paradoxical sequences bending time and space, to accent exaggerate and the process of beginning in one environment and moving to a new one.
