The Way To Wonder | Peru Part One https://vimeo.com/120307701 All This Goodness | Peru Part 2 Two How do you even begin to describe an experience of a lifetime? Do you begin with how you decided to go on with it or do you just explain what made it quite the experience? Since I don't know how to start and briefly convey the entirety of my 2 weeks in Peru, I'll use the words of those incredible people that I met along the way because hey, a journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles right? "Life was meant for good friends and great adventures!" - Trixie "The moments we've shared will live forever." - Maddy "Please continue to follow your heart and what makes you happy. You deserve a happy life full of travel and people and experiences and culture." - Hannah "It's awesome to chill with people who understand not just the importance of travel, but of new experiences and stepping out of your comfort zone and following your passion." - Aaron "I think that every once in a while, you meet people in life that are so far ahead of you and somehow manage to give you something to work towards." - Nizar So these are their words and this is mine: Thank you to everyone who made those 2 weeks one of the greatest times I've ever had. I think there's something about brief moments that intensify one's experiences - everything was slow and quick at the same time, our days were long, our weeks were shorter and I constantly wished it would never end. But here's to the greatness of Cusco and the people in the Arcopata House. Our days were spent in the wonderful San Perdro market and the little restaurants along the streets, having the most affordable menu we've ever had, and knowing that going home for dinner meant having the most delicious food cooked by our sweet chef, Carmen. More, to the Alpaca lady who we bought our warm and fuzzy sweaters from, and to the most bomb milkshakes at The Meeting Place, to bringing the Arcoparty around town on our qual nights out, and to matching tattoos on our feet because we've never walked so much in our lives compared to how much we've walked in Cusco. And lastly, from sitting in our rooms, writing about our days, talking about the happenings in our heads, to sitting cliffside off the top of Huayna Picchu looking over the wonder of Machu Picchu, feeling beyond blessed for where we are in life and not wanting to be anyone else but ourselves. These are our Peruvian Times.

World-renowned as the ancient capital of the Incan Empire and the gateway to Macchu Picchu, Cusco is today home to a flourishing tourism industry. Spectacular examples of both pre-Hispanic and colonial architecture sit alongside hastily constructed infrastructure built to accommodate a steadily increasing flow of international visitors. Cusco's draw is not limited to the ancient Incan city resting in the sky. During your passage through the area, you will feast your eyes on Peru's bio-diverse natural beauty with a trip to the Sacred Valley, and delve into Peruvian history with Spanish colonial architecture in Cusco's Plaza de Armas. This video is part of an ongoing project I am working on with The Source Peru, an ayahuasca retreat center (www.TheSourcePeru.com) situated in the Andes mountains of the Sacred Valley (a few hours from Machu Picchu). This first video is really a tribute to the land and the sky, without focusing too much on the actual retreat center. As you'll see, this part of the world is extremely beautiful and at 10,000 feet elevation, the night sky is absolutely magnificent. Cameras: Canon 5D Mk II and Rebel T2i. Lenses: Rokinon 14mm, Rokinon 85mm, Sigma 30mm, Helios 58mm, Canon 35mm
