During the last two decades, online surveys have become the dominant method of data collection, especially in mature markets with high rates of internet penetration. Online surveys offer numerous benefits over other forms of data collection; presenting audio and visual stimuli, randomizing the order of questions, and implementing complex logic are just a few. Along with this rapid growth of online surveys have come concerns about the representativeness of these surveys. However, even the gold standard of random digital dialling (RDD) phone surveys has shown a dramatic drop in response rates, casting doubt on their representativeness as well. Join us tomorrow as we compare data and efficiency from phone and online surveys. Specifically, we will address: - Why fielding your survey with an online panel is more efficient than a phone survey - How both methods are effective overall at capturing census-balanced demographics... with a few exceptions - How the two methods produce similar insights on health perceptions, political attitudes and consumer behaviors Speakers: Kartik Pashupati, Research Director, Research Now Matt Newman, Research Products Manager, Research Now
