Insta ctf multiplayer match (sample) This is only a test video. I wanted to see if it's possible to upload and playback a high definition video at 60 fps on Vimeo, because on YouTube it's impossible. This is also my first upload on Vimeo. Info: Sample recorded with Fraps during an insta ctf multiplayer match in the popular first person shooter Sauerbraten. I was playing at 1080p and with all settings at max quality. The source video was an avi at 720p 60FPS, but the filesize was 1.68GB so I converted it to an 720p 60 FPS .mkv video with an xvid codec, what resulted in an 111MB file which is the one I've uploaded on Vimeo. 60FPS videos are just great, most people can't see much difference between a 30 and a 60FPS video but there IS a significant difference. 60FPS video's (certainly when in hd resolution) look way more natural to the eye and are much more fluent and enjoyable to watch. The only drawback is that, for example a 60FPS video, contains obviously double as much information as a 30FPS video (when every other factor is the same, like the resolution, used codec...), and thus takes double the filesize. However, this doesn't mean that hd 60FPS videos are unusable for online streaming. Current global online download speeds are (if not 1080p@60FPS) certainly capable to downstream 720p@60FPS videos using a good codec like matroska or webm. Now it's just up to the servers to switch gradually to the new standard. 60FPS is the future xD Cheers EDIT: -_- Vimeo converted the video to a significantly lower quality, and set the frame rate to 30FPS, obviously

"Much like the original Cube, the aim of this game is not necessarily to produce the most features & eyecandy possible, but rather to allow map/geometry editing to be done dynamically in-game, to create fun gameplay and an elegant engine." I really had no idea what was going on during the match but it was interesting. Just wanted to see how my app dealt with the Cube engine
