A preview of the upcoming Connect: Young Adults series being developed by Saint John's School of Theology·Seminary. This video is the "Casting the Net" section of the topic, "Developing a Deeper Understanding of Having a Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ." Many young adults (age 18-39) struggle with the question of where they fit in to the Church’s life of faith. Connect hopes to help address this issue by serving as an easy-to-use resource either for parishes or grassroots young adult groups. Connect utilizes illuminations from The Saint John’s Bible as a way for young adults to enter more deeply into their own faith lives and the active life of the Church. Online videos of young adults and theologians reflecting on these same illuminations will serve as a catalyst for discussion and sharing amongst Connect participants.

Many books, articles, and opinion editorial pieces have been written to answer the question "Are markets just?" But this is the wrong question to ask. Everyone with an answer to that question also takes a position on three other issues, what we might call the moral context or "moral ecology" of markets. These are the provision of "essential" goods and services to those who cannot provide them for themselves, the morality of individuals and organizations, and the character of civil society. Every moral stance on the justice of markets - from left to right on the political spectrum - also takes a stand on these three. Catholic social thought is of significant help in sorting out competing answers.
