    Hugh Jackman and Rose Byrne present the winning short film for Tropfest NYC 2012 to Director Josh Leake from Portland, Oregon. Jackman claimed, "this is the best acceptance speech ever." Leake's first film, a short documentary called "EMPTYS," follows people that collect beverage containers as their principal source of income. Leake enters the stage with his mom on the phone and leaves after singing, "New York, New York," with Jackman. The festival had between 10,000 and 17,000 attendees and spectators in New York's Bryant Park on June 23rd, 2012. Judges included: Jennifer Westfeldt, Rose Byrne, Judah Friedlander, Ted Hope, and Scott Foundas.
