Back in early January this year, a young Brazilian rider named Mateus Beckmann did a trick in an edit that made me really stoked. I wondered how difficult it would be to do, so I began a quest to learn it. Along the way I picked up several variations of the trick and came up with some of my own--here are just a few of the results.... Enjoy

About a week ago, I bought a security system to begin recording every session at Powell Manor. Unsure how the system would work, Dave Schaefer & I set up 1 camera to record our session that night. Here are some throw away tricks from that session.....

Years ago I began a journal which documents my journey thru the freestyle world, including my personal progression. On December 17th I learned my 100th new trick/connection of 2013; promoting me into the “Century Club” for the 2nd consecutive year. I feel very accomplished by this milestone, especially since there are only a few riders worldwide whom I can think of that have reached this height. Here is footage of the milestone trick…. How high are your goals for 2014!?

Some time ago, the question popped into my head; "how many variations of triple decade could I do in one session!?" So I filmed for one 3-hour session and this is what I came up with....

I finally stepped into the 21st century and got an HD camera; it is an action camera so it does not have a stablizer. I decided to test it out by filming a quick edit in the same way that I would have if i was using my TRV 900. After filming some random combos and mending them together, here is what I came up with ...

With the next Bikes Over Baghdad trip just around the corner, and realizing that I had been spending most of my time riding my brakeless and pedal-bike, I decided i should get some practice in on my traditional bike before the shows. The following is some of the outtakes from those preparation sessions. ---enjoy PS....vimeo has blown up (size wise) this edit---shirk the video down for a crisp viewing! :)

While on a trip to California in 2004, I was asked if I would donate some tricks for a video being created to push back against rules that were keeping BMX bikes out of state-wide skate parks. I was surprised and honored to be the only flatlander asked to participate, and I gladly did 4 tricks for the film of which 3 made the cut. Here they are....enjoy :) SP

This isn’t a typical action sports film of guys doing insane tricks in remote locations (though it has that), this isn’t a story about the sacrifices our soldiers make day in and day out (though that is in there as well), and this isn’t a story of a group of friends going on an adventure (though, again, there is that). This is a story about what happens when people give for the good of others. When people put their own safety aside to make someone’s life a little better, and how selflessness can change lives. Bikes over Baghdad ended up traveling to the middle east six seperate times with each tour roughly two weeks in length. We faced extreme conditions, mortar rounds, IED’s, injury, exhaustion and more, but we never missed a show. And while our team read like a who’s who of action sports, egos were put aside and nothing short of a series of miracles were performed. It seems like a stretch to say riding BMX bikes for the troops could actually change their lives, but this film will show just how special of an experience this was for thousands serving in the Middle East, and hopefully it’ll serve as a reminder that we all have the power to initiate change in our own unique way. This is Bikes over Baghdad.

Though out the years I have continually documented my progress in freestyle, pushing my limits and testing what is possible. January 2012 I learned 33 new tricks/combos. The following is some of those tricks. This edit was completed and held from release due to computer glitches and other projects. I apologize for the delay, hope you enjoy, and possibly become inspired.
