Port De Bras is a natural progression from Core de Ballet which was a gentle introduction to balletic exercises intended to stretch and tone. This instalment introduces a more complex series of exercises aimed at toning the whole body. Port De Bras follows on from this, introducing movement and centre practise to provide a fuller workout.

‘Marionettes’ developed from a series of 'dance for film' workshops I gave to members of the Scottish Ballet Corps. Limor Ziv’s choreography and its puppet characters Pieretta and Puaro, are based on lyrics written by Hebrew poet Leah Goldberg, famously put to music by Achinoam Nini. The film was shot over two mornings in my local 24 hour Tesco using a plentiful supply of Coca-Cola to stop the dancers slipping on the freshly polished floors.
