On March 27, 2013, The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law that defines marriage as the legal union between a man and a woman. In United States v. Windsor, Edie Windsor challenges the $363,000 federal estate tax bill she received after the death of Thea Spyer, her same-sex spouse. Under DOMA, the government doesn't recognize their marriage and therefore Windsor and Spyer are not eligible for more than 1,000 federal benefits given to heterosexual married couples, including tax benefits. This short video documents the scene outside of the Supreme Court as DOMA is reviewed.

OFFICIAL WEBSITE: http://www.UnconditionalDocumentary.com http://www.HazeMultimedia.com / http://www.LeftDigitalMedia.com This is one of two trailers for the documentary short "Unconditional" featuring music from the critically acclaimed artist Harold Crisman. Unconditional follows the lives of two men (Brian Patterson and Michael Foster) over a two day period as they prepare to celebrate their love for one another by having a commitment ceremony in the back yard of their Sanford, Florida home. Haze attempts to showcase this event minus the political fanfare and bringing to audiences abroad a realistic view of how true love will prevail regardless of laws passed to prevent its legally recognized foothold in American society. Filmed in the Spring, months of collaboration with musicians, editors and artists brought to the table a soul searching documentary that will contend with many who seek to understand the reality behind same sex relationships. The chart topping GLBT artist Rachael Sage along with folk/alternative artist Harold Crisman have brought to the film a score that some say will make the cut as being the gay wedding theme of the year with songs like Sage's Proof and Crisman's originally created piece named after the film. It's guaranteed to bring tears of joy and compassion from all walks of life for those who have an open heart and mind.
