Why did I shoot my own daughter's wedding you may ask? Because their original wedding date was for June of 2015 and I had a talented crew all lined up for the gig. But when they decided to just do it this year, they chose September - indeed the busiest month for wedding vendors! I lost my crew and if there was going to be a film produced at the event... I would have to do it myself! So armed with my Canon C300 cinema camera, a GoPro Hero 3 and a Canon 60D on a Glidecam, I got some shots and made a little film : ) Here's their story: Seth and Coree met at UMass Amherst 7 years ago, through Seth's high school friend and Coree's roommate (and beautiful bridesmaid) Dayna Martin. It wasn't until Dayna's wedding in the summer of 2012 that sparks started flying. Unfortunately, Coree was living in LA, and Seth in Brooklyn. It only took a few weeks, but a long distance relationship started when they realized they were way cooler together than apart. Seth was given an opportunity with his job to move to Los Angeles, and the rest is history. Coree and Seth now live in LA with their handsome dog Wally (named after the Green Monster of course). Coree and Seth were wed on the most perfect September day under a sky of blue and a breathtaking backdrop of the Boston skyline. Coree and her bridesmaids prepped at the InterContinental Boston, a short walk to the wedding venue. Seth and the guys dressed in grey suits at the Residence Inn at Seaport. For the "First Look," Coree walked across the old Northern Avenue bridge to the cheers of locals and tourists where Seth was waiting on the other side with his back turned toward the Seaport District. The ceremony took place under the traditional Boston red brick archways of The Daily Catch restaurant on the Seaport Waterfront at the end of the Moakley Federal Courthouse. Boston band Air Traffic Controller performed a live acoustic set for the wedding dances and then a lovely dinner of Boston seafood Italian style was served to the guests. The wedding cake was made by Flour Bakery. from IDBldg / Added

From July to October 2014, Design Museum Boston hosted its "Better Business by Design" exhibit at the Innovation and Design Building. This exhibit explored the impact that design and user experience can have on business success. From Design Museum Boston's website: "Now, more than ever, companies are seeking ways to rethink, restructure, and relaunch. In Massachusetts, some companies are catapulting miles ahead of the competition with game-changing products and services. How? Design. Designers are experts trained to bring out the best of a service, place or product. And good design is a win-win: design is a plan to make life better, and it makes business stronger. Massachusetts is rich with industries that prove design’s value to products and services, including technology, tourism, life sciences, entertainment, retail, finance, consumer goods, and manufacturing. Better Business by Design highlights case studies showing the positive impact good design is having on Massachusetts businesses. See case studies from Zipcar, IDEO, iRobot, Essential, Korn Design, Mad*Pow and more."
