    Students in the Maymester course "Real Communities, Real Problems & Real Solutions" visited Pitch Lake in La Brea, Trinidad. It's one of the only places on earth where pitch - or tar - bubbles up naturally from the ground. This video asks the question, "What's the problem with Pitch Lake?" Some thought it was efficiency. Others thought it was safety. It's neither, guess what it really is.

                  The ICL Take Action summer program in Peru offers an exciting opportunity for students to experience full cultural immersion and appreciation for Peruvian culture through a combination of Spanish classes and home stays with Peruvian families, as well as a weekend trip to Cuzco and Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas.” The centerpiece of this trip is that for our students build at least three homes for the poor in Pamplona, Peru.
