        Shenandoah Conservatory and the Lorton Arts Foundation (LAF) partnered once again to bring remarkable talent to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. An innovative four-part/Saturday afternoon performing arts series, was held at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA, and featured gifted, pre-professional artists led by our own outstanding faculty. The series was underwritten by a generous gift from our own chairman of Shenandoah University's board of trustees Charles (Chuck) and Beverly Veatch of Reston, VA. The series included theatre, dance and music and all performances are FREE and open to the public. Saturday, Jan. 31 / Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night". Mark Kittlaus, Assistant Professor of Theatre and Head of the BFA Acting program, brought a new staging of Twelfth Night, Shakespeare's most popular comedy. This event included pre-concert and post-performance opportunities for audience interaction with the director. Saturday, March 28 / The Viandante Quartet. This event included pre-concert and post-performance opportunities for audience interaction with Dean Laurence Kaptain. Saturday, April 18 / The Shenandoah Conservatory Dance Ensemble performed the works of Alwin Nikolais. This event included pre-concert and post-performance opportunities for audience interaction with dance professor Kim Gibilisco. Saturday, April 25 / The musical "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" was presented at 3 p.m. This event included pre-concert and post-performance opportunities for audience interaction with Director Jonathan Flom.
