Opera Software is one of the biggest software developers in the world, making the Internet more easy and accessible. It was a great honor to work for them on this great B2B promo video. We created an almost realistic look for the objects and contexts, and in opposition, interfaces were simplified and the applications look graphic and stylized. The idea for this promo Video was to work outside the application universe, conceiving it as if the apps were not virtual products but tangible objects. Enabling them to behave and look as real objects we are able to create a space for them outside the device. - - - Opera Software es uno de los mayores desarrolladores de software del mundo, haciendo Internet más sencilla y accesible. This is a stop motion animation video that we made for our friends at Palo Alto Software for their relatively new piece of software called Email Center Pro. We shot the video with a Canon 5D in the Atelier Transfert studio over the course of several weeks. The sound effects and music were then created at the Atelier post production office, as was the edit. We had a lot of fun making this video. Feel free to check out some of the 'making-of' time lapse videos that we have uploaded as well. Thanks to John (www.ancientrobot.com) for creating the soundtrack. Also, thanks to Jason at Palo Alto for the amazing voice-over narration! And finally, thanks to Guy Kawasaki for putting us in touch with the good people at Palo Alto. We've forged a really amazing friendship with everyone there.+ More details

Each loci is a unique 3D printed sculpture bespoke to someone’s flights spurring recollection, reflection and conversation about their travels. Through custom software built in Max/MSP, the user is able to select specific flights that matter to them, such as a honey moon, a summer vacation through Europe or all of their flights from a given year. To ease this process, the user can connect to Tripit or Foursquare and import their past flight data automatically. Each loci comes with a card highlighting on a map all the airports flown to. The sculpture can be placed on this card to help visualize their travels. Additional information is displayed on the card, such as the title chosen by the user, the total distance travelled, the number of airports visited, and the number of flights taken. The software generates a file suitable for 3D printing, so that the user can either print it themselves or use a service like Shapeways that prints for them. This is a working prototype, which is currently unreleased and in the process to turn into a product/service.
