Hello World! Processing is a documentary on creative coding that explores the role that ideas such as process, experimentation and algorithm play in this creative field featuring artists, designers and code enthusiasts. Based on a series of interviews to some of the leading figures of the Processing open programming platform community, the documentary is built itself as a continuous stream of archived references, projects and concepts shared by this community. It is the first chapter of a documentary series on three programming languages -Processing, Open Frameworks y Pure data- that have increased the role of coding in the practice of artists, designers and creators around the world. Advertising a consulting firm is always a challenge: they usually offer wide ranges of services, that are much more complex to explain than a single product, and you should always try not to be too blurry. But we like challenges. In this short concept video for one of Switzerland's most performing IT consulting firms, we tried to find a nice and gently humorous way to tell their story through their most meaningful data. Mission accomplished? Have a look! CLIENT: Open Web Technology DIRECTION: Ilenoliukgo DESIGN: Marta Croce ANIMATION: Matteo Ruffinengo+ More details

The MadMapper provides a simple and easy tool for mapping projections. It removes a lot of the confusion related to this medium, effectively demystifying the process, allowing you, the artist or designer to focus on creating your content, and making the experience of mapping textures to physical objects in real time, fun. MadMapper is built around the idea of sharing video content between applications. To accomplish this task, MadMapper uses a Mac OS X based framework called Syphon. Any application that can send its output the Syphon server, the video is automatically available to MadMapper for perspective transformations and warping. There is an ever-growing list of software supporting the Syphon framework, such as: Modul8 Quartz Composer VDMX 5 OpenFrameworks Cinder MaxMsp / Jitter Unity3d Processing (soon) Resolume via FreeframeGL Isadora via Matthew Haber ‘s Actor The approach that one should assume with MadMapper is that it is extracting elements from a source, generally referred to as “the input.” This “input” can be any material you import into MadMapper, such as an image, QuickTime movie or Syphon input. These extracted elements are called “surfaces” that consist of multiple geometric primitives, such as a quad, a triangle or a grid. These surfaces can then be transformed and arranged as desired within the video canvas called “the stage.” FEATURES: - Unlimited amount of mapped elements - Quads, triangles and masks elements (more to come) - Grid Warping (up to 30 by 30 subdivisions) - Unlimited undo levels - Multiple selection of elements - Named selection sets - Save and Load configurations - Opacity and Blending modes for each element - Flipping options - Master opacity to blackout the whole projection - Display of Images, Quicktime movies or Syphon inputs - Export as SVG / PNG / PDF - Spacial Scanner to turn your video-projector into a 2d scanner GarageCUBE http://www.garagecube.com/ 1024 architecture http://www.1024architecture.net/+ More details

Noisy Typer is a free piece of software which plays typewriter sounds as you type. It runs in the background and works with all applications ( email, web, word etc ). Key sounds include, letter keys, spacebar, backspace, carriage return and scroll up and down. OS 10.9 Note: Noisy Typer still works with 10.9 but you need to enable the app to have access to the key press information. See this link for info. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6026 Download it here ( currently OS X only ): http://fffff.at/noisy-typer-a-typewriter-for-your-laptop NOTE: to quit the app type "qaz123" ( that is a lowercase Q not G ). You can also quit it by running Activity Monitor ( in Applications/Utilities/ ) and quitting the Noisy Typer process.
