As Tiffany Thornton (Disney actress) dreams "Someday My Prince will Come", so he did. November 12, 2011 brought together two beautiful people alongside families and friends for a star studded wedding in the Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The gorgeous bride, Tiffany Thornton (Disney's show "So Random" & "Sonny with a Chance") and her charming groom, Chris Carney (musician & court officer) & friends traveled from the west coast to the woodland gardens of the south to enjoy serene surroundings, family and good company for a real life fairy tale wedding. Demi Lovato ("Camp Rock", "Sonny with a Chance") caught the bouquet while Wilmer Valderrama ("That 70's Show") snagged the garter, adding to the excitement of the event. Also attending were other cast members from "So Random" as well as the Mayor of Hot Springs (the groom's mother). Special thanks to the fabulous wedding professionals & friends who created the magical scene & made their dreams come true. • Light Camera Slider - Build

My next project was to build a camera slider. I wanted to make the design as simple as possible as I felt other designs were too complicated with 8 or more wheels. I wanted to use ball bearing wheels to provide a smooth sliding action. I have come up with a design which uses only 4 bearing wheels, while the carriage remains captivate in the rail. This means the slider can be used at any angle, even upside down. The trick to this design is using roller wheels which are designed for sliding doors. See this link http://www.cowdroy.com.au/spares4.html or google "sliding door roller" to find them. If you are going to build the slider then don’t use L channel as I have used. My supplier did not have any U channel of the correct size so I went for L channel instead. Using U channel will make the slider much simpler to build and stronger. Simply get two U channels and rivet together with flat strips. No need for my complicated L brackets. See description on the flicker photos for a full parts list, tools list and build guide. I have made a few improvements to the slider since filming; see photos on the attached link. These include: Added adjustable drag breaks to the carriage. This reduces any slack in the bearings and provides smoother sliding when controlling the slider by hand. I have also build a controller for the slider to use for Time Lapse. See http://www.vimeo.com/17973866 WARNING: All of the cutting and some of the drilling footage have been sped up to make the video shorter. Don’t try to cut or drill this fast or you are likely to destroy your tools or yourself. THE FILM As for the making of this film. It took much longer to make the film that the actual slider, with setting up all the shots between building a component. I have used my Light Camera Crane for a few of the construction shots see http://www.vimeo.com/17780636. Shot on Canon 550d and Sony NEX-5, most shots using 50mm 1:1.8 prime lens. I used a set of Tiffen Close-up Glass Lens Set for the close up shots. Canon 10-22mm for wide angle. I used my Mountain Bike Ay-Up LED headlights for lighting. Here is a quick camera test of the new Sony Nex 5N camera for our upcoming documentary "The Board Of Education Doc". This is by no means a scientific camera test. We were testing specific attributes of the new camera. We are going to use it as a Director's camera along with the Sony FS100. It may also be employed as a possible B-Camera. The entire Sony interface was new to us. Needles to say. We had a few hurdles along the way. Hit us up at www.wideopencamera.com for a full review and specs. Thanks for checking this out. music: "It's Just Begun" By: Jimmy Castor www.jimmycastor.com

These are a few test shots from a friends photo shoot so excuse the camera shake. I really like the A6000 overall, the video images it produce are very organic and vibrant .The one thing I need to do "ASAP" is turn off C-AF and focus on subjects manually,in this specific test I would let C-AF lock on and then switch to MF via my custom button set up. The C-AF did well but noticed a lot of out of focus shots after reviewing,I mainly wanted to see could it be a quick solution for run & gun situations, lets say I will stick to manual focusing. UPDATE: After adjusting focus settings the auto-focus is very fast and accurate when locking on a subject. I set AF drive speed to "Normal" and AF Track Duration to "High". White balance may not be consistent the duration of a shot do to incorrect AWB. I also added slight sharpening in post. frame rate-24P creative style-portrait -3,-3,-3, shutter-50 iso-640 post-sharpening filter-neewer variable nd glass-sony 35mm 1.8 OSS editor-Vegas Pro 12

Using the Light Camera Crane http://www.vimeo.com/14229000 to take shots making the Light Camera Slider. http://www.vimeo.com/17725662 Can be tricky to build and shoot at the same time. Especially when you have to follow focus with one hand and use a tool with the other hand! This video shot on a Sony NEX-5.
