            Des micros (piézo-électriques) sont placés sous des feuilles de plantes vertes. Ces feuilles récupèrent le son du choc des gouttes qui tombent de manière aléatoire grâce à système médical de perfusion. Les ambiances musicales et les traitements sonores appliqués en live aux micros tournent eux aussi de manière aléatoire. Ce décor mouvant créer une musique organique vivante et toujours changeante. Microphones (piezo) are placed under the leaves of green plants. These sheets recover from the shock of the sound drops falling randomly through medical infusion system. The musical styles and sound treatments applied live microphones turn also randomly. This shifting scenery create a living organic and ever-changing music.

              Zvočna inštalacija 80 dB Lucija Smodiš Andrej Hrvatin Jure Lavrin Hrup nam onemogoča razmišljanje in koncentracijo, moti naš spanec, povzroča stres, ob dolgotrajni izpostavljenosti hrupu pa lahko pride do poškodb sluha. Pred hrupom nas varuje zakonodaja [med drugim Uredba o hrupu v naravnem in življenjskem okolju], ki določa štiri stopnje varstva pred hrupom . I. stopnja: območje, ki potrebuje povečano varstvo pred hrupom (okolica bolnišnic, zdravilišč, območja naravnih rezervatov) II. stopnja: območje, kjer ni dopusten noben poseg v okolje, ki je moteč zaradi povzročanja hrupa (okolica vzgojno-varstvenih in izobraževalnih objektov, čista stanovanjska območja, rekreacijske površine, krajinski in regijski parki) III. stopnja: območje, kjer je dopusten poseg v okolje, ki je manj moteč zaradi povzročanja hrupa (mešana poslovno-stanovanjska območja, javna središča, območja kmetijske dejavnosti) IV. stopnja: območje, kjer je dopusten poseg v okolje, ki je lahko bolj moteč zaradi povzročanja hrupa (območja, namenjena industrijski, obrtni, transportni in skladiščni dejavnosti) Kot pravi Mihael Žiger, univ. dipl. fizik, ki se na Zavodu za zdravstveno varstvo Maribor ukvarja s problematiko hrupa: »Smo leta 2006 v Sloveniji zakonodajo o hrupu degradirali. Odkar smo prevzeli Evropski pravni red, so stvari veliko bolj nedorečene. Interes v ozadju je ta, da so proizvajalci hrupa ekonomsko močni in imajo vpliv na vlado.« Mariborski mestni park je zdrsnil iz druge v tretjo stopnjo varstva pred hrupom. Ker je naša zvočna inštalacija del prijavljene prireditve, lahko v dnevnem času [od 6h do 18h] seže do 80dB – v primeru, da bi bil park še vedno v drugi stopnji, ne bi smeli preseči 65dB. Inštalacija je sestavljena iz posnetkov hrupa različnih izvirnikov, ki nas obdajajo. Hrup smo prenesli v park, s tem pa ga postavljamo izven njegovega običajnega konteksta povzročitelj-hrup. Park - kot urbana oaza miru - na takšen način omogoča, da na hrup pogledamo iz drugačne perspektive, saj ga tu ne pričakujemo. Hrup je tu »neopravičen«, zaradi tega lažje opazujemo svojo reakcijo na neprijetne zvočne dražljaje, ki nas vsakodnevno spremljajo, a jih sprejemamo kot samoumeven del realnosti. Inštalacija je umeščena znotraj paviljona; izhajamo iz tradicije prostora, namenjenega izvajanju glasbe, skozi reprodukcijo hrupa pa poskušamo spremeniti ta prostor v kraj, kjer zvočni dražljaji izzovejo miselne reakcije.

                    Alex Under´s second album, La Máquina de Bolas, was finally released by Soma in 2012, and now, after months of hard work, the live set is a reality. The album, deep in details and scope, reveals a more experimental side to Alex Under, one that offers pure listening pleasure, even when rhythm is still in command. And such an album was asking for a synesthetic counterpoint. We already knew of Rod Maclachlan’s work with Roly Porter, of his ability to create structures that transcend the limits of one dimensional visuals, although we could not imagine the originality and ambition of his work for this new live set together with Alex Under. A kinetic opera made of motors, gears, pendulums, lights, smoke and sounds (used by Alex Under), that combines a love of early 20th century abstract art with the current trends of sound and kinetic art. On October 21 the show became a reality at La Casa Encendida, Madrid. Nothing like it has been seen before... El segundo álbum de Alex Under, La Máquina de Bolas, finalmente se ha publicado en marzo del 2012 en el prestigioso sello británico Soma, hogar de los primeros Daft Punk. Un disco para saborear a cámara lenta, profundo en sus detalles y alcance, con el que Alex Under nos presenta por primera vez su cara más experimental, esa que para él va unida al goce de la escucha, aunque siga siendo el ritmo su hilo conductor. Un disco de esas dimensiones pedía a gritos un contrapunto sinestésico y el trabajo del artista visual Rod Maclachlan, aka Flicker, nos había enamorado en sus colaboraciones junto a Roly Porter y Manuel Göttsching en el último Festival Electrónica en Abril de Madrid: dos maneras radicalmente distintas de acercarse a la estética del visual pero igualmente atrevidas por su inteligente empleo de lo aleatorio, lo imprevisible y lo imaginativo . Para esta nueva pieza Rod ha creado ex profeso un poema de luces, sensores, motores, péndulos y finalmente sonidos sobre los que Alex Under generará su directo. La Máquina de Bolas se estrenó mundialmente como pieza audio-visual en La Casa Encendida el 21 de octubre del 2012.
