This short film was made along the shoreline of Spencer Gulf in South Australia next to the township of Tickera. This is a special place for me, as it is where my great grand parents grew up and used to farm in the late 1800s. It is intended more as an experimental training piece for me, learning how to get more out of my new Panasonic GH-2 DSLR video camera. Please, if you feel there is any constructive advice you can offer on things I should try with the camera let me know. I head back to Tickera fairly often and am happy to take on board suggestions and test them out - doing future A-B comparisons. Ultimately, despite being shot as a test piece, I hope that people find some enjoyment in watching. -- Music by Ton - "Calentito" From the album "By The Sea" Licensed under http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/ Available from http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/28824 Camera: Panasonic GH-2 - 14-140mm F4.0-5.8 lens Editing: Adobe Premiere CS5.5

Created by Japanese internees during WWII, the New Moon was hand-carved from an offcut piece of Oregon timber, cut from the boom of a paddlesteamer.
