        from Elizabeth Nelson Added 82.8K 113 14

In a world overpopulated with stray and abandoned animals, we all play a part in protecting and caring for our fellow creatures of God. For 23 years, Lynea and her crew have been running the United States' largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. Their mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Since its founding 23 years ago, The Cat House on the Kings has saved over 24,000 cats and 7,000 dogs (not counting the 40,000 animals we have spayed and neutered!) and currently cares for more than 700 cats and kittens, a dozen or so dogs and a handful of goats, who earn their keep as lawnmowers! The Cat House is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, receives no government or public funding, and relies entirely on donations from the public to carry out its mission. These cute baby bunnies were rescued after being born at a shelter in late 2011. Momma bunny was confiscated by animal control from an Oakland, California resident who was raising rabbits in squalid conditions for meat. The local animal rescue community intervened, and all the rabbits were saved. They are small and adorable, but have already experienced more adventure than most people do in their entire lives. So why not add an epic soundtrack to this baby bunny snuggle party? Countless bunnies end up at the shelter each year, please adopt. And spay/neuter your bunnies to help control the pet population.
