Pufferfish were delighted to be asked back to do more work with events specialist Urban Caprice, this time in helping them bring a little touch of Sardinia to the centre of London. Sitting above the sapphire waters, the PufferSphere acted as a 360 degree window onto the delights of the Forte Village resort, tempting guests with wrap-around images of idyllic white sand beaches, sundrenched pools and mountains of fresh Mediterranean seafood. Speaking of fine fish, on this particular evening, Pufferfish were definitely the tastiest thing on the promotional menu.

More experimentation with Houdini's rigid body simulations by driving a "bullet" into a pyramid made of spheres. Working with initial velocity and initial angular velocity, which causes the "bullet" to spin, but you can't really see it. Rendered using Micropolygon Rendering in Mantra with two point lights with ray traced shadows, and ray traced reflections.

Take a polyhedron (J57 here). Explode it on unit sphere. Let's make his stereographic projection on a plane. A way for flat people to understand 3D shape ! This sketch allows any polyhedron or line on sphere. Work in progress. Sphere color partition, draw lines as surface...

Take 1 large 'Whitney Music Box' and whisk together with 'Mobius transformations revealed'. Add a sprinkle of 'Indras Pearls', the juice of a fresh Riemann Sphere, and stereographically project at 200C until crispy... The music really should be generated in the same way as the visuals, but I've yet to get into making digital music. Anybody want to collaborate?
