This film is a collection of clips captured during the spring this year; it was shot in Atlanta area and surrounding parks, including some close ups I took in my own backyard. Also, note the swan scene(s) at the end were taken with the EX1 at 60p lat sunset on evening in northern California at a park near our home earlier this year; and the moth shot by a fellow-film-maker who kindly had suggested at one point I use it in one of my films. Most of the footage was shot with the 5dmk2 in 24p and 30p; edited in 24fps timeline and subsequently rendered at 24p. Canon lenses include the 16-35mm EF, 180mm macro EF, the 24-70mm EF, and my favorite one, the new 14mm EF MKII. The majority of the clips were color-corrected in post as they were shot with a super-flat profile kindly provided by Eugenia Loli-queru; I intentionally included a few clips at the beginning taken (the first 10 or so) with the standard profile provided with the camera to help us better appreciate the difference. I am personally sold on the idea of shooting flat in most cases, provided one has adequate time for post-processing—this can be a long and tedious activity. This film is a celebration of Spring, and to show the world our Azaleas; they are in bloom this time of the year here in the south-east of the United States—this is a native plant of the Carolina's and Georgia—that by itself makes this video worth watching; but of course, you the viewer have the final word. Hope you all enjoy it and please don’t forget to leave me your comments; good or bad, I'll take it all with a great deal of interest. Thank you all for watching. NOTE: Some people reported problems when trying to write a comment; I have reported the issue to Vimeo so please try again later. Thank you!

After producing two seasonal videos, fall and winter, It seemed necessary to keep the ball rolling. The majority of this spring was spent traveling with my girlfriend through Thailand and Cambodia. This video documents that trip, by focusing on the similarities between traveling and spring... enjoy. Just started our first blog. If anyone has any questions this might be a good place to post them... gnarlybay.blogspot.com - song - Xavier Rudd, Mana - canon 7d - 24mm lens - 1 tripod - internal mic on camera - edited on mac book pro while traveling

Spring in the south is now in full swing. Landscapes and gardens all around Atlanta and its surrounding counties are full and lush. There has been a significant amount of rainfall this season and the colors are at their peak. Here is a short film I edited this past weekend with footage I've taken during these past few weeks. Hope you all enjoy it. Please, please, please, leave me some feedback; and thanks for watching! Shot with the Canon 5D MK II at 30p and slow-downed to 24p in post-processing. Lenses used: Canon EF 180mm f/2.8 USM Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8

Dear Vimeo friends, So I didn't think I would produce another nature film this year—and with temperatures over 100F this past two weeks we didn't have much of a choice but to stay indoors; I figured this would be a great time to take a closer look at all the footage I had taken during the Spring and early Summer this year; I quickly realized I had enough material to produce a full nature film. All the footage featured in this film was taken with the Canon 5dMK2 and a variety of lenses—you should notice that throughout the film. I may have overused the Jib a little bit, but it is a lot of fun to play with it once you had gone through the trouble of setting it all up. Don’t hesitate to leave me your comments and feedback as it is always most appreciated. Thank you all for watching, Felipe

When spring had arrived in Vienna, I thought about showing the beauty of nature, landscapes, ... But then I realized that on a macro scale, it's incredible what is going on which you normally never realize! I started initially to just reverse mount my 50mm f1.4 lens (taping it to the adapter on my Lumix GH1), but then for quality reasons I bought a used 50mm f3.5 FD macro lens with a 25mm extender. Almost everything was filmed in my garden, apart from the first sequence which was on a small hill very close to my house - I realized that the flowers there became extremely rare and are under severe protection! Just in the middle of Vienna ... Fascinating - hope you enjoy my take on that! One day till Christmas: Thank you for watching, www.instagram.com/MetronFilms www.facebook.com/MetronFilms Music: http://itunes.apple.com/album/prelude-2/id257130211 http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/divenire/id212970099 _____________________________________________________ Just because it's Christmas - And at Christmas ... This is a short story of the lonely robot celebrating holidays. Primavera - Spring (season) in Italian Set of "Making Of" photos can be found here with the comments: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vmetron/sets/72157624089679968/ I took days off from Christmas to New Year and planned to make a short film in Yosemite, but then I saw this little robot and thought it would be more interesting to use him in the story. Besides there are many robots on this planet who always spend holidays alone. Then I watched the original movie once again with all the comments from its director Andrew Stanton (for inspiration). I listed a few scenes, which I wanted to shoot, scribbled some storyboards ( they are really like scribbles from 3 year old kid, but turned out to be very useful) and started off. I started filming it right on the day after Christmas by driving to Yosemite, and then spent many more snowy weekends in Tahoe and Yosemite making all these shots one by one. Some of the shots involved hiking, skiing and even snowshoeing. Not that they were required, but just because I like all of that. I even flew this little robot to Alaska, not sure if he enjoyed it though: One morning we stopped to make one shot on the way to Exit Glacier. It was 7'F outside, that's super cold, so his battery was dying every minute and I had to carry him to the car to heat him up after each take. At that moment I thought that it would be much more interesting to shoot video of me struggling with not-so-cooperative robot, freezing temperatures and all the things which I have not done before but eager to learn. Thanks to Gogaren, Uma, Zoran and Zorana for ideas, feedback and for dropping the robot from the cliff ( with parachute ), to Adam for the snow.

I always found the flower's timelapses fabulous, but most of the time they are made with a black background. Then I told myself to make a beautiful flower's timelapse with coloured and vintage backgrounds. To me, the 60's / 70's is the most representative period for the flowers. This is a way to pay tribute to them. What are Tags?

Tags are keywords that describe videos. For example, a video of your Hawaiian vacation might be tagged with "Hawaii," "beach," "surfing," and "sunburn."
