And now for the fun leading up to the fun… ESSAY WRITING and ART CONTEST: Making San Rafael a Better Place to Live San Rafael is a wonderful, diverse community. But could it be better? Could you help make it better? Write an essay (no more than 1 page) or draw a picture to tell us what you do now, what you will do, or what you’d like to do someday to make San Rafael an even better place to live. We will select winning essays and drawings from 4 age groups: Grades k–2, Grades 3–5, Middle School, and High School. Winning entries will be announced at Summerfest. They will be posted on the HeadsUp’s website and Facebook page, and displayed at the San Rafael Public Library.
