Robert is a little known artist and long time resident of Franklin New York. In the late nineties, Robert began constructing fantastic stone castles and keeps from native stone, in his small backyard. He has since created amazingly unique works at the homes of several Franklin residents. But, Robert's artistic interests and instincts go way beyond his stonework in ways that are surprising and very enlightening. Robert is funded in part by a grant from the New York Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program, administered in Delaware County by The Roxbury Arts Group. ****"Robert" is an official selection of the 2012 Buffalo Niagara Film Festival.***** *****"Robert" is an official Selection of the 2012 DIY Film Festival******* ******"Robert" Wins Best Documentary Short 2012 DIY Festival, Hollywood, CA******

All of the villagers are artists, who make their living by sculpting stone. Like most Zimbabweans, these are difficult times for the artists. The impact of the economy has affected tourism, and in turn, there are hardly any visitors coming to buy art at Tengenenge anymore. Against all odds, this community has continued to survive because of its peoples passion, energy and solidarity. Tengenenge is a glimmer of joy and optimism in a country on the brink of collapse. * Contact me for more info: jaclobel@gmail.com *

[Created by Adam] In 2006, we put out an international call-to-artists to create a sculpture centerpiece for our new development here in Arizona. My passion as a sculptor involves a technique I uncovered more than 20 years ago — the precise art of creating "virtual records" of contemporary culture — capturing common, everyday items in stone. Essentially, I replicate these items on a real life-scale, complete with meticulous detail. I achieve this absolute realism by incorporating parts of the actual object, as well as custom-made stains, paints, plastics and gold leaf. It's more than art imitating life, it's art mirroring life.
