    • Walking Dead Week 2 Audio

      from Crosspointe Added 26 0 0

This is the transformational sermon series for Crosspointe Community Fellowship based on the #1 rated television show at the time of delivery of this series, The Walking Dead. We all love stories and for 5 weeks we are looking at some of the most well known stories in the Bible and paralleling them with each season of The Walking Dead building to the season 5 premiere. The lesson we are to learn is that we all as believers in Christ need to tell our story. For those seeking we need to know and examine the story. Looking at the backdrop of one of America's most entertaining stories provides an excellent canvas on which to paint this connection. • KING of GLORY the Movie

        from ROCK International Added 3 1 0

KING of GLORY the Movie, created by a small team over a period of 3 1/2 years, is the word-for-word cinematic rendition of the book KING of GLORY, published by ROCK International. This 222-minute feature (same length as William Wyler's 1959 epic Ben-Hur) takes you on an intense ride through the ancient Scriptures of the prophets as it chronologically and accurately unfolds their story and message in a way that makes sense. This 15-episode visualization of the world’s best seller (the Bible) is about the Creator-Owner of the universe and His plan to rescue His rebellious subjects from the kingdom of darkness and qualify them to live with Him forever in His kingdom of light. With its thought-provoking narrative and inspired mix of 3D motion-graphics, animation, and live video, this film is for a worldwide audience of all ages. The Bible takes  about 70 hours to read aloud. KING of GLORY tells its core story and message in 3 hours and 42 minutes. 4 WAYS TO WATCH THIS MOVIE 1. In 15 Episodes. Average length: 15 minutes each. Works well in homes, small groups, schools, camps. etc. (Watch 3 a day = watch entire movie in 5 days). 2. In 70 Scenes. Average length: 3 minutes. This method breaks the flow of the story, but works well in many contexts. Try it as a bedtime story set with your kids. 3. In Two Parts. In the home or special event context, watch it in two sittings: Part 1: The King Foretells His Plan (1:47). Part 2: The King Fulfills His Plan (1:55). 4. In One Showing. There is nothing quite like experiencing the powerful story and message of the Bible in just 4 hours (that includes a 15-minute intermission). • For info about DVD and Blu-Ray sets, visit: www.king-of-glory.com • Questions or Comments: resources@rockintl.org • 2015©ROCK International www.rockintl.org

My grandmother was in Germany during WWII, and as a young child she was separated from her family, forced to steal food to survive, lived with strangers, walked hundreds of miles in the snow on a wagon train, and hid in ditches from bombs and attacking soldiers. She has an amazing story which she recently shared with my mother's middle school class. My mother filmed her speaking about her experiences. She is an amazing woman who went through something that no young child should ever have to go through.

One of our traditions at New Hope is to hold our Open Mic Service the weekend after Thanksgiving. This worship service has become a highlight for us as people in the audience share what God has done in their lives this year that they are grateful for. We will also have the Lord’s Supper. Colossians 4:2 explains one of the key ingredients for a close and growing relationship with God: “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” By hearing about God’s work in and through the people around us, it helps us all grow in our gratitude and join in thanksgiving.

The 24 Hour Race at the Nuerburgring is known as the world's biggest motorsport event. More than 200,000 fans set up their camp in the Eifel forest and cheer for their heroes in the 210 race cars. Lap after lap. Hour after hour. Day and night. It's the stage for great stories. Sorrow and joy. Excitement and exertion. Drama and emotions. You will hardly find any event that brings the extremes this close together. In the thick of things, last year's winner BMW's two cars and 70 team members. For months, engineers, mechanics and the eight pilots have been preparing for the most important race of the year. The filmmakers Tim and Nick Hahne captured it all with their cameras - from the first test drive to the chequered flag coming down - and accompanied the BMW team on the way to achieving its goal: winning the 24-Hour Race. The filmmakers were able to gain unusual glimpses beneath the drivers' helmets and insights into the strategies to conquer the world's hardest long-distance race. The story is told up close, with compelling pictures. It turns race car drivers into actors. Their fascinating cars become their co-stars. The Nordschleife is the set. And the race over the course evolves into the plot of the film.
