This semester Las Fotos Project students documented inspirational women, women who they admire, and women who motivate them to be their best selves. They developed a beautiful narrative of personal stories and images which share their perspective on the important role that women play in their lives. This event was free and open to the public. Everyone was invited to attend! Through one-on-one mentoring, photography trainings, and assigned field projects, Las Fotos Project provides a creative outlet for students, encouraging them to express their artistic talents and explore their imagination, while building self-confidence. About Esta Soy Yo: Las Fotos Project’s Esta Soy Yo program is a year-round arts mentoring program for girls and young women, ages 11-18, that provides critical thinking, visual communication, and media literacy through a series of professional development activities. The innovative program uses therapeutic photography methodology and a project-based learning model. Esta Soy Yo serves approximately 100 students each year through 12-week sessions in the spring and fall, as well as an intensive 4-week summer camp. The semester-end exhibition brings together youth participants to showcase their work in a local creative space. The exhibit brings together friends, families, and community members who show interest in and support the students’ work and point-of-view. Students have the opportunity to showcase their public speaking skills and discuss their work with event attendees. Exhibitions occur quarterly at the end of each program term – May, August and December.

This year has been a really interesting one. I've branched out, really managed to try a lot of new things. I've modeled, rigged, animated, lead an entire team on a game project, created a load of concept art for a fictional game concept, systems and game design, the works! It's been an amazing ride, and I'm so glad I've had the chance to do all of this stuff, Scad continues to be a truly interesting and enlightening experience. Other than Battery Jam as a whole, the music, and the rig I created in Epics Animation and Rigging Tool, everything you see was designed and created by me!

Performance art piece for Art251 Winter 2015 For more than 2 hours I read aloud backwards the children's book "The Grooming of Alice." The Alice books meant a lot to me growing up and I learned about myself and life through those books. In a way I, now an adult, don't feel like an adult and want to go back to my childhood. Thus I am reversing the process, trying to go back, in a sense of nostalgia. I'm reading the book backwards to symbolize that.
