This video is a marketing and PR piece for three groups creating green job training programs in NYC. It explores many ways to green a building and make it more efficient. The video follows an energy auditing training conducted in a massive, old, inefficient Bronx building that is typical for New York City. The training participants are part of a green job training program for people re-entering society post-incarceration. They are joined by diverse interns and students from local high schools, the community, and Ivy League universities - all learning about green jobs as well. The trainers for the energy audit are professionals with many years of experience in green jobs. The video illustrates what the burgeoning green jobs movement means in real, day-to-day terms. What exactly is a green job? Who can get one? Will it make a difference? This day of training helps shine some light on complex questions that everyone has about green jobs. The first video I created to express the overwhelming, genuine concern when I fully was able to grasp the scope and scale of what is happening on our planet. It was the call to action that motivated me to research the events of the last century that led to the current state of our affairs in an attempt to distill an overall picture...the voice of the Divine Mother flowing through me, urging me to reach out to millions of others - mothers in particular - to tap into their instinctual, intuitive wisdom and collective genius. We are in a time of great transition and we must move through the disbelief, denial, dread, disillusion and desolation....together we will birth a new kind of humanity.

Speaking immediately after the Federal Environmental Executive, Michelle Moore, the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Installations and Environment, Dr. Dorothy Robyn, delivered an equally impressive presentation at the recent E2S2 conference in Denver, CO. Titled “DoD Installations, Energy, and the Environment: The Challenge – and Opportunity,” Dr. Robyn’s speech laid out in detail how DoD plans to interact and incorporate Executive Order 13514, which sets sustainability goals and requirements for federal agencies, and demands that they lead by example as our nation pushes for sustainability. Dr. Robyn based her speech on three key points: that sustainability is in DoD’s best interest, that energy and climate change can increase instability and vulnerability, and that DoD, perhaps more than any other organization in the world, has the ability to invest and innovate in this field to be a true “solutions multiplier” and lead the global drive for sustainability. It’s more good news from DoD, and we’re excited to share it with you on MoveBeyondGreen.com!
