This piece is a bit of a return to myself after around ten years of dwelling on past decisions that I felt were mistakes. About a month ago, I realized what I was doing: I was turning an "I didn't" into an "I can't." Well...I decided to say, "Fuck that," and to let it all go. Ever since that epiphany, I've been making things daily, creating impulsively, and feeling more myself than I've felt since 2003.

During our trek to Salkantay mountain in Peru, our guide, Jose Tito, told us all sorts of myths and stories about the quechua people. We particularly like the one about the origin of the Incas and the explanation why they were surrounded by these huge mountains. It's a short video about the flood of the world and how everything started for the Peruvians. Disclaimer - I'm more of a music fan than a musician. I do not own the rights to this song. A video about our trip to Peru. As Jose Tito says in the beginning, Peru is divided in three regions: the highlands, the jungle and the ocean, but unfortunately we only had two weeks to wander around and in order to do it properly, we had to leave the ocean portion off (not a big deal, after all I live by the ocean for 10 years now). We started our trip in Cusco City, walking as much as we could to get used to exercising in altitude. After that, we took an almost 70Km hike through the Salkantay pass (4600m high) and down to the jungle, where we would finally get to see the city of the Inca: Machupicchu! One of the best trips of my life, with amazing food, amazing company, amazing people and breath taking landscape. Totally recommended. If you are up for the challenge, look for the Llama Path agency... they were just great! Disclaimer - I'm more of a music fan than a musician. I do not own the rights to this song.
