The Miselu “neiro” is a portable, net-enabled social music device with a musical keyboard and a wide multi-touch display, and a variety of musical apps and cloud services. This mobile companion invites users to perform, create, learn, discover and share — from anyplace they go. Social is integral to the Miselu “neiro” and permeates through all applications. The open platform environment will also enable developers and users to build their own custom apps and solutions. Yamaha is providing the upcoming “neiro” with the Yamaha AudioEngine (TM) Series Sound Chip NSX-1. This powerful synthesizer engine delivers a quality that almost matches the sound of real musical instruments. The DSP chip offers a larger variety of sound effects such as reverb, chorus and EQs that create a rich sound experience. A project by Steven Tai and John Nussey. This is a piece of wearable, fashion technology. 795 pen nibs, mounted on tiny motors, are sewn into the dress. These rows of pen nibs are animated to created a hypnotic shimmer of movement which changes over time, varying the tempo, pattern and the overall mood of the piece. Coming in October 2012 from Princeton Architectural Press: INSTANT: THE STORY OF POLAROID by Christopher Bonanos For more information: http://www.papress.com/html/book.details.page.tpl?isbn=9781616890858 Publicity contact: Diane Levinson / firstname.lastname@example.org “When I was little, long before personal computers, let alone Instagram-enabled digital camera-phones, Arthur C. Clarke wrote that advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. By far the most uncanny, sexy, insanely great piece of technological magic in our household was my parents’ Polaroid. Chris Bonanos’ smart, thoughtful, charming chronicle of that iconic invention and its remarkable inventor is a delight.” —Kurt Andersen, author of True Believers and Heyday, host of public radio’s Studio 360 “Edwin Land was one of Steve Jobs’s first heroes, and this book shows why. He created a startup in a garage that grew into a company that stood at the intersection of creativity and technology. This is a fascinating saga, both inspiring and cautionary, about innovation and visionary leadership.” —Walter Isaacson, author of Steve Jobs “Pictures in a minute!” In the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s, Polaroid was the coolest technology company on earth, an innovation machine that cranked out one must-have product after another. Led by its visionary genius founder, Edwin Land, Polaroid grew from a 1937 garage startup into a billion-dollar pop-culture phenomenon. It’s no wonder Steve Jobs considered Land a personal hero and modeled Apple after Polaroid. INSTANT: THE STORY OF POLAROID, a richly illustrated, behind-the-scenes look at the company, tells the remarkable tale of Land’s extraordinary and beloved invention. From the introduction of Polaroid’s first instant camera in 1948, to its meteoric rise in popularity and adoption by artists such as Ansel Adams, Andy Warhol, and Chuck Close, to the company’s dramatic collapse into bankruptcy in the 2000s, Instant is both an inspiring story of American ingenuity and a cautionary tale about companies that lose their creative edge.+ More details

We used some of our very early Bublcam footage and added it to our alpha mobile/tablet app. The footage looks better in real life as the camera picked up the screen and this video was also compressed. The Bublcam's colour and exposure settings were not calibrated at the time of these shoots, but the stitch, video playback quality and touch functionality has all been vastly improved compared to what is seen from our online player. Updates to online player coming soon!+ More details
