Song: N.A.S.A - by Futurecop! Video: Alexandra Zizzo (alexandrazizzo.com) Official Music Video A Graphic Design thesis project for the Fashion Institute of Technology. This video is compiled of entirely found video that dates back to the 1930s-1990s. No color edits or special effects were applied to the footage. The idea of the video is to question the idea of Nostalgia in today's society. Understanding important complex human emotions is something philosophers, theorists, and psychologists spend a lifetime doing. Most of the time there is controversy and too many factors standing in the way of a clear answer. This is what happened with the whole concept of nostalgia. From its beginning as an extremely negative mind disease, it has transformed along with society, into something that may now be deemed therapeutic. This complete opposite definition is a representation of how much society has changed its view on interpersonal understanding. Various psychological studies and reflections on culture show that nostalgia can be a very positive resource. It helps people to gain a sense of social belongingness, gain self-esteem, and it becomes a starting point for existential thought. It also raises the question about society today and the influences of nostalgia due to the popularization of cultural appropriation.

As independent artists, sometimes dedication means having to spend your own blood, sweat and money to leap into the future. We believe in every artist we work with and we do this for you. That being said, here is a quick reel about our recent mission to New York. Filming along a seven day span, we were fortunate to be able to document some of the city's most talented artists. From Jasmine Solano, Justin West, Skotch Davis, Kris Kasanova, Cody B. Ware and the World's Fair to Harlem's very own Jim Jones and the A$AP Mob. Much love goes to everybody who welcomed us along the way. Special thanks to Shamele$$ Management and A$AP Twelvyy for blessing us with the name "TheNewRegime". New York truly is the Mecca of Hip-Hop, and this is but a preview of what we are about to drop. Stay tuned for the next videos to come.
