Quivercast - TR7 Productions Its Hurricane Season, No better time be a surfer in Europe! Imagine after a summer of little swell seeing a Hurricane building in the south atlantic named after you!! Well if your Mark 'egor' Harris you were lucky. Hurricane Igor was the first catagory 5 hurricane of the year and sent swell pumping towards the British Isles. Mark and Fellow Toe partner Mitch Corbett decided to head over to Ireland to meet up with Surfers Fergal Smith and Tom Lowe and photographer Mickey smith to see what the waves 'Aileens' and 'rileys' had to offer. A big thank you to the Irish Tourism Board who sorted out a ferry at short notice and got us onto the lovelly Emerald Isle. There's plenty more where this podcast came from so please subscribe and invite your friends to see more.... We claim no right to use the music, please ask to be removed.

The ramblings of Mitch and Tom...Creature comforts style. In November 2010 a small crew of surfers set off to seek out previously unsurfed waves on a small set of remote islands within the British Isles. After Four weeks of trudging through bogs in freezing gales and scouring the coast searching for the next discovery the weather finally let up. There was a brief window of tide, wind and swell and they found one of the sickest waves we have seen in a long long time...A Reeling Right hand slab. This is an interview with two of the surfers and a preview of the session with extracts from a Film currently in the making by Independent Film Maker Tim Boydell of TR7 Productions. Welcome to the first Quivercast of 2010....... Featuring Pro surfers Mitch Corbett and Tom Butler. In this first episode the boys travelled north in search of slabs with their 'less than realiable' jetski... 'Bombard'. As with most over excited young surfers the decision was made on a whim without studying the charts and that soon came apparent as the swell didnt hit as expected. A week was spent twidelling our thumbs and crossing our fingers for a glimer of hope on the horizon and then it came...a brief window within the tides and wind where they could use the ski.... after a few practice waves however 'Bombard' decided to show that he wasnt very 'Ard' at all, and starting chocking at the sight of 8ft right handers unloading into 1-2ft of water. Fortunetly the RNLI at Scrabster are very well equiped to help with sick jetski's. We are very thankfull to them for this.... PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO SEE MORE........ @ the TR7 Productions page on facebook website on the way..... Also big thanks to Ali and Grant Coghill. A few months back Newquay had a big drop of snow (for our standards) so i packed up the camera and went out for a look. I went to the gannel and fistral, and also took the long hike to my back yard with views over the Bay and harbour. Tony Plant is an Artist like no other. What you see here is just a small cherry on a cake to the Artwork Tony has done over the years. It was during the making of this film i realised the depth to Tonys Artistic talents as he explained to me that in one of the shots there was a pole he had painted red over 6 years ago. He saw the Pole was rotting and the texture of the dyeing grain represented the veins of life decaying away. By painting them Red the Veins stood out. It would only be the Passer by with open Eyes and mind that would see the Pole and see its future within its surroundings....The intention wasn't to Look at the pole. But to stop, and see the beauty we are surrounded by.... Shot in the beautiful setting of Park Head, Near Bedruthen steps on the north coast of Cornwall. A winters day was spent following Tony Plant and capturing one of his amazing Beach Drawings for this music video of Ruarri Joseph's 'Till The Luck Runs Dry'. Till the Luck Runs Dry is a celebration of Life and Cornish Landscape. A moment of personal realisation following the loss of a close friend by singer/song writer Ruarri Joseph led to this beautifully shot, unexpected combination of ephemeral art and music. ‘Till The Luck Runs Dry’ is a Newquay based collaboration between musician Ruarri Joseph, Cinematographer Tim Boydell and artist Tony Plant WEBSITE : www.tonyplant.co.uk FACEBOOK : www.facebook.com/tony2plant TWITTER : www.twitter.com/LastTreeOnEarth Music Video made by Light Colour Sound for Ruarri Joseph's performance of 'Till The Luck Runs Dry' from the Album 'Brother'. Its Movember... that month of the year where (if you can) we try and grow a MO to help raise awareness about a great charity that's making a real difference to the world....and if we can..... send a few pounds their way. We dont have a huge amount of money to offer but what we do have is the ability to make a difference, to make people aware and hopefully break the taboo that surrounds prostate cancer. After speaking to a well known Local Artist, Tony Plant, we put a plan in action to try and get as many people we could down to the beach and join him in drawing a huge moustache to help raise awareness of the Movember charity. Tony is a unique and dedicated artist with a vast creative mind reaching far beyond what you will see here. During the Low tide on Great Western beach Tony was joined by people from all walks of life and ages who came together, rakes in hands to draw whatever they pleased. We had moustaches, eyes, stars, hearts, words, spirals, squares, circles, maps....all sorts. I contacted 2 close friends and talented camera men to boot, Lee Evans and Andrew Brown, to help with capturing this event.... And this is what we made :) TO DONATE TO MOVEMBER PLEASE DO SO TO EITHER OF THESE LINKS http://uk.movember.com/mospace/653544 - Philip Blooms Movember page (currently 2nd! in the uk) http://uk.movember.com/team/942453 - Our Group Page MUSIC - Ben Howard - Promise. Monster Energy Presents a film by Tim Boydell and Reubyn Ash, documenting 3, 50 degree, dusty days at the Wadi Adventure Wave Pool in Al Ain near Dubai. In what is regarded as 'one of the best wave pools in the world', Reubyn Ash Had three days to see what he could do. Nestled in the foot hills of the Jebel Hafeet mountain range, the Wadi Adventure Wave Pool set the scene for 3 days of non-stop surfing in this rare and unique location. What is truly possible when nature is set to one side and instinct is replaced with passion, determination and skill? Tim Boydell and Monster Energy's Reubyn Ash set about documenting their adventure into the Arabian desert with this question in mind. If actions speak louder than words then Reubyn's surfing speaks for itself. Reubyn Ash "one of the oddest things was losing the 'random' not surfing by instinct and momentary changes in the sea, it actually made surfing this wave harder!...but once you had the wave dialled in...the possibilities felt endless. I just wish I could go back for a week!"
