This collection of short videos were created by this year's FIN 200: Digital Visual Arts I class. Students were asked to create an opening title sequence for an imaginary television series through a montage of 'found footage' - footage appropriated from a wide range of existing sources and reassembled to create something new. Featuring: Lindsay Stoeckner (Tour de Force), Alex Bowen (Wasteland), Amber Sawicki (Once Upon a Song), Ximena Ramos (Dark Paradise), James Ashcroft (Wither), TaraLee Houston (Elements), Jessie Zelko (Regeneration), Sierra Kirk (Red), and Paul Walton (Smog).

Back in 2010 we had the pleasure of having exemplary artist Pablo Ferro visit our studio. Known for his distinct approaches to film title design, animation, and editing styles, Pablo touched on his collaborations with Stanley Kubrick and Norman Jewison, along with his contributions to seminal films such as Dr. Strangelove, Bullitt, and The Thomas Crown Affair. While the time we spent with one of our heroes was never forgotten, it took us four years to find the "free time" in our studio's busy schedule to share the experience with others. This internal project highlights Pablo's decades-spanning career with an opportunity to get insight from one of the masters. There are 26 layouts that looks like title sequences. Each layout for one letter has information about one subject that is connected to title sequences. For example, A – animation based title sequences, B – biology of vision system, C – cinematography and so on. Each layout has TV or computed screen dimension which is 3:4 and printed on phosphoric paper that charges of the/ light and then glows in the dark, they all are putted on the board with cinema screen dimension 9:16. This refers to the sense of watching movie titles on the bright cinema screen in the dark room. The combination of phosphoric paper and black and white projection gives interesting effect, makes it possible to play with the light and to combine moving text and static printed text.
