The story of Oedipus, in 8 minutes, performed by vegetables, in the tradition of Ben Hur. A sword and salad epic, in classic CinemaScope. Featuring a Potato, a Tomato, Broccoli, Garlic, and Billy Dee Williams as the Bartender. The film took two years, a volunteer crew of more than 100 people, and post production resources donated by Industrial Light + Magic and Skywalker Sound. One of the first stop-motion films shot on a digital still camera (the technology was so new, the Corpse Bride crew stopped by to study our setup). Official Selection: 70+ film festivals on nearly every continent, including Sundance (World Premiere), Seattle (Audience Award), São Paulo, Rome, and Hong Kong. Currently playing on the Sundance Channel and Virgin America Airlines. ...you can also watch the behind-the-scenes documentary: http://vimeo.com/19151071 ...and see the storyboards: http://vimeo.com/19151003 ...oh! and visit http://www.wishnow.com for even more...

In this overview of some upcoming features in Blender, we show you how to use the new Object Tracking available in the Tomato branch. Object Tracking, similar to Camera Tracking, allows you to track the position of an object relevant to the camera so that you can replace objects in real footage with a 3D model. Note: this feature is not yet available in the official release of Blender 2.60. You can download a development version from http://graphicall.org if you wish to try it. The footage used in this video is available from here: http://www.hollywoodcamerawork.us/trackingplates.html

This year's Google Summer of Code brings some exciting new features. One of them is Camera Tracking, which is currently being developed in the so called "Tomato Branch" by Sergey Sharybin and the guys from LIBMV, which provides the algorithms for the tracker. In this video tutorial you will get an introduction how to do supervised manual tracking and scene reconstruction of some HD video footage. But the development is so incredibly fast that by the time you see this tutorial there are probably already new features and it will be even easier to use the tracker. If you want to make sure to keep up with development, it will be best to build the tomato branch yourself. See the links below for more information. Let me introduce to you my mother in law, Mrs. Brigitte Helzer, who is a ninja in the kitchen. In her home, it's hard not to be aware of what she's preparing because it always smells incredible. When Mama B gets in the zone, the flavors of France come alive in her kitchen. Brigitte was born in Ribeauville, a small village in Alsace, France. She moved to the US at age 7 but grew up in a culturally French home. She developed a love of French cuisine and in turn, she inspired a love of French food in her two boys, Paul and Johnny. And since I married into Helzer family, I have been introduced to a whole new culinary world too. Music: Margie by Billy Banks and His Rhythmakers See more at cookingbyheart.org
