1. Cropping People

Cropping people and cropping landscape images are a bit different. With landscape images you usually just crop until you have eliminated the distracting elements while making sure the horizon line is level. With people, you do the same with respect to removing distracting elements but you must ensure the subject is the primary focus of the frame. There are some things that you might have heard like "I have to shoot loose to leave space to fit an 8" x 10" frame" Or Cropping in post is for farmers. Or maybe it's fill the frame. Don't get caught up in the words, just remember to think before you shoot. Try to remove distracting elements in the viewfinder and frame the subject based on the intended final use of the image.

Use the auto import functions in LR3 create a new (empty) folder. Set that as the watched folder. Next create a folder for of the images you are going to take (the job/shoot).Make this the move too folder in the LR3 auto import options dialog. In Olympus Studio/Master make the LR3 watched folder set as the save to folder, and yer done! Look in your cameras manual if you need to know how to tether capture. It is simple with E series cameras. Plug in turn on, select storage on camera, start OLY soft. Run capture mode. I have a really long USB cord, I wish eyefi made a faster solution for a CF card, then I could be wireless!.

Made in C4D, and used splines and sweep nurbs to make topology. I added triangulation to the topology. It just looks cooler for this turn table. Of course my head mesh is all quads, using circle splines for proper deformation during animation. This is a wip and study of proper facial modeling. I used the stop starring method as a reference. I plan to use this head for my fat ass man I am building in Zbrush. A new workflow, not sure how I will transition but it sure is fun.
