On April 27, 2011 the Phil Campbell Church of God was completely wiped away by a disaster that swept through town killing 27 people. Despite the tragic nature of the event, the church members remained strong in their faith. The congregation purchased a building in town, and renovated it so that it could become their new church building. According to Pastor Chris Burns, attendance at his church has tripled since the rebuild. On April 27, 2012 (one year after the disaster) the Phil Campbell Church of God hosted a community church service on the Phil Campbell High School football field. The pastors from two other Phil Campbell churches that were hit by the disaster were invited to speak as well. Pastor Sammy Taylor spoke on behalf of Mountain View Baptist Church, which was completely destroyed, and Pastor Tim Haney spoke on behalf of First Baptist Church of Phil Campbell which suffered significant damage.

http://blendercookie.com Hello and welcome to this tutorial about creating a tornado using Blender's smoke simulator. This Blender tutorial will take you through the complete process needed to create a destructive tornado with Blender's smoke simulator and particles, complete with flying debris. What you'll learn: While watching this tutorial you will learn how to setup a smoke simulation that is controlled by particle movement, how to influence the particles/smoke with multiple force fields, how to make an object break apart in the strong wind of the tornado, and finally you'll learn how to render the tornado with a Volumetric material. Part 01 of this tutorial covers how to create the simulation, particles and setting up the force fields to define the shape of the tornado. Part 02 will finalize the simulation and cover rendering. I never honestly thought that this would be a reality, but on May 20th, 2013 thre world proved me differently. This is my family's story. It is hard to watch, but incredibly uplifting... I will never be able to repay those people who helped us along the way... the list goes above and beyond the people you see in this video. Although we are sad to say goodbye to the past that was taken without a say- we are grateful for a future of new memories and INCREDIBLY thankful to be here together.
